My global fee for home birth midwifery care is $5,000. This includes prenatal, birth, and postpartum care, along with my presence, expertise, and on-call commitment. Comprehensive maternity care sometimes includes services or supplies that are handled separately from the midwifery fee. For a detailed outline of what is included and excluded, please schedule a free consultation so you can make an informed decision for your family. Payment plans are available.

I do not bill insurance directly. Clients are responsible for payment of midwifery services. I may be able to provide a superbill for possible reimbursement, and laboratory services may be billed separately to insurance. Coverage nor reimbursement are guaranteed. I believe midwifery care should be accessible to the community and offer individualized payment plans.

Home birth is generally appropriate for healthy women experiencing low-risk pregnancies who desire out-of-hospital care. “Low risk” typically means no significant medical conditions, no history of certain pregnancy complications, and a pregnancy progressing within normal parameters. I will review your full health history with you to determine whether home birth is a good fit.

If a medical need arises during pregnancy or labor, or if you choose, transfer to hospital care is arranged. During your care, we will develop a personalized emergency plan based on your location and nearest appropriate facilities. Clear communication and continuity of support remain a priority during any transition.
